There are a lot of pictures, but they are just a few moments of bliss from the last 2 weeks.
How can that face not make me happy? I am so grateful Shad is healthy and a great baby!
Papa was a champ and drove our new van out to us all the way from California (3 days worth of driving). He got to meet Shad and stay and play for a few days.
Papa is # 1 in Tavin and Kirra's book. He spent lots of hours throwing them, flipping them, spinning them, and making them laugh uncontrollably. They LOVED going with him to Chick-fil-A, the movies, and grocery shopping.
Tavin's laugh is the best laugh I have ever heard! He snuck the camera while daddy was on the phone.
Nana spent 9 days with us and was an absolute saint. Not only did she love and adore Shad...she got up with him every night because he had his days and nights confused.
Nana entertained Tav and Kirra, bathed them, fed them, wiped too many bumbs to count, made sure Brett and I were always well fed, stayed a night in the hospital with me, did all our laundry, helped me finally decorate my kids rooms, and the list could go on and on. I BAWLED when she left!!!
Daddy made Tavin and Kirra's day by getting them helmets and....
..a trampoline.
It made my day too because getting out with 3 seems a little overwhelming right now, but the tramp has entertained them for hours!
I LOVED watching Nana play on the tramp with my kiddos.
My kids constantly keep me laughing...esp. when Kirra wakes up a sweaty mess with handprints on her forehead and cheek.
I'm married to the best man in the world! He bathes Tav and Kirra and puts them to bed every night he is home. He gets up with them EVERY single morning and let's me sleep until he has to go to work. He is a total hands on dad who plays and plays with them every chance he gets.
They love when he builds them forts!
Auntie Christi left her own girls and hubby in Cali to come take care of me and my family for a week after my mom left. She too was a saint who spent her days and nights serving us. She helped me get a few weeks worth of grocery shopping done and most of my errands taken care of too. We even made it to the beach one day.
With my mom and sisters help I finally got around to decorating Brett's office a little.
Shad is growing and changing too fast. I can't wait for the rest of my family and friends to meet him.
I even caught a little smile.
I am so spoiled!

What a great family you have! Fun that so many could come out to help you! I don't know how my friends do it when their moms don't come out after having a baby! I would be a mess!!!
ohhh those pictures at the end of him just make my heart melt. i can't believe he is growing so fast- it breaks my heart i haven't seen him yet!
