March Madness

Okay, I'm very far behind in blogging and I don't know where to start...so I never do. Brett's working late tonight so I figured I'd try to play catch up for a little of February, most of March, and a little of April, in no particular order.
1. We moved. We are still in Corona just down the street from my parents. We miss them!
2. Tavin now sleeps in a big boy bed! He's fallen out a couple times and wakes up occasionally. Overall, it's been a pretty easy transition. Nancy and Kelly Jones were kind enough to give us his bed. Brett and I spent many nights sanding and painting it along with my childhood dresser. We got a kick out of the engravings on the dresser Rachel and Jeff had both done in their younger days. :)

3. Poor Kirra just can't catch a break...RSV, an ear infection (Tavin too), a sinus infection, and now this HORRIBLE cough that sounds excruciating and makes her throw-up atleast once a day. Still, she never stops smiling!
4. Some family friends (the WONDERFUL Sistrunk's) had us over for family home evening and fed us an oh so yummy meal and let us ride their horses. I took Tavin first, but he cried hysterically and wouldn't talk to me the rest of the night. Kirra on the other hand loved it!

5. We love to have little dance parties with Tav-man.

6. Tavin was invited to Hunting Tanner's "little friends" birthday party. He just adores Hunting and had a blast! The pool was nice and warm and both my kids loved swimming.

7. DANGER! Kirra now crawls sometimes and scoots other times, following Tavin everywhere she can.
8. Tavin saw his first 3-D movie and still loves for he and daddy to wear their glasses.

9. We celebrated Andee's 4th birthday with birthday pancakes for breakfast and pizza for dinner.
10. My sweet niece MaKayla was baptized. Auntie Rach, Uncle Brian, and Uncle Jeff all came home to be here for her special day.
11. We've enjoyed our passes to the zoo.

12. I'm grateful we were able to move before Tavin destroyed Nana and Papa's house. (They have already put in all new carpet and wood floors in the month we've been gone.) The first week in our new house, while I was in the shower, Tavin enjoyed emptying a bottle of shampoo all over the bathroom, putting baby food in the VCR, and ripping off the eggs on my Easter wreath. My shower was only 10 minutes and I quickly learned my lesson.
13. But then there's a really sweet side to Tavin too. He FINALLY loves Kirra. He loves to make her laugh, copy her noises, give her kisses, get her toys to play with, try to carry her, and feed her food. (Maybe one time he fed her a Skittle that she choked on, but hey, he shared...right?)
14. Tavin loves the warmer weather because he gets to go to the park nearly every day.
15. Speaking of the park...Tavin might be ready for potty training, or atleast thought he'd give it a try one day at the park. A lady came over to my friends and I and told us that it looked like one of our kids had ditched their diaper and about 10 feet away had their pants around their ankles. Who's kid is that?
16. Kirra went in a swing for the first time.

17. My WONDERFUL husband and I spent too MANY hours cleaning (7 1/2 hours just on the grout/tile in my kitchen) and doing intense yard work to get this home up to my clean freak standards. Thanks so much to my wonderful friends (Kim and Kristy) and fam (Mom/Dad and Christi) for helping out with my kiddos so we could get it all done!
18. Had the best date-night of the year so far on my first ever cruise. Well, we cruised the harbor atleast, and danced the night away with some of our best buddies!

That pretty much sums us up. Life honestly couldn't be better right now! Well, maybe if I could get a little more sleep. Like that's ever going to happen.

Congrats on the job and the new place! Good luck with the potty training too. Carson just barely tackled that last week, he's only 3. :) Everyone told me not to force it, so I didn't. He finally decided on his own, of course after MONTHS of coaxing from Mommy.
