Halloween Haunt/Trunk-or-Treat

A few pictures from our Ward Halloween Party. We'll try to get some better ones on Halloween.
Tavin is a fisherman and Kirra is his "Big Catch." (aka: a fish) I'd like to give a shout out to Katie who gave me the idea to dress my kids in a paired theme.
He was in heaven as we went Trunk-or-Treating. He grabbed the first piece of candy he could and bit the wrapper right off to start chomping on the sucker.

After the Trunk-or-Treating, we went inside for some carnival games. Kirra got her face painted and Tavin went fishing, decorated a cupcake, bowled with a pumpkin, and tried a "bounce house" for the first time. He could have stayed in there the entire night. Sorry for the sideways video.
The Young Men and Young Women (esp. the MiaMaids) were in charge of the festivities and did an AWESOME job. It was so much fun!!! Way to go Kim for organizing and pulling off such a successful night. To see more, go to our Citrus Hills Ward Young Women blog. http://www.chwyw.blogspot.com/

When we got home that night Kirra wanted to tell us all about it.

You have the cutest kids!!! I can't wait to meet the baby someday. Tavin is the cutest little boy. We miss seeing you. Please call me if you ever visit.

Very cute. Brian will love the costume idea. I won't be surprised if that is what he wants us to be next year. Glad that Brett is home.

It is so great to get to see the videos. I love hearing Tavin talk and laugh and see what he is doing, but to get to hear Kirra too makes it twice as good! I can't believe how big she is getting. Enjoy every minute......you guys grew up too fast!

Thanks for the shout out...but it was your creativity. That is the best costume theme I've ever heard. It's so original and your kiddos are ADORABLE! Did you make the costumes? That is seriously a GREAT idea. I love it.
