We left from Ontario Airport on Thursday, Aug. 28th at 7pm. We finally arrived at my grandma's house in Utah at 4am on Friday. To make a long story short...as we boarded the plane in Phoenix (where our layover was) a HUGE storm hit - 60 mile an hour winds, thunder, lightning, and pouring rain. It was so bad the electricity went off in the airport. Well, we ended up sitting on the plane, on the ground for 2+ hours. When the weather lightened up a bit, the pilot would come over the intercom and tells us we were going to try to take off, only to have another storm hit before we could get out. It could have been horrible, but Tavin and Kirra both did GREAT! Tavin didn't fall asleep until 11:30pm, but he sure loved running up and down the isles and the flight attendents were so good to him.
When we arrived in Salt Lake City our rental car place had closed, so we called my dad to come and get us at 3am. He and my mom were also in town for Lindsay's wedding. As we pulled our bags off the belt we were shocked to find that they were sopping wet! They had been left out in the storm in Phoenix. Not only were our bags wet, but everything in them was too! I could literally ring out our clothes, carseat, diapers, etc. Although we spent another hour filling out a damage report, Southwest makes it completely impossible to get reimburssed for any thing...including my bridesmaid dress where the colors all bled into one another. Needless to say, we crashed as soon as we got to my grandma's house. We laughed pretty hard as we realized we would have made it there sooner if we had driven, and with dry clothes.
Lindsay and Brian were married on Sat. in the Salt Lake Temple and then had a gorgeous garden reception at his house in Price, Utah. We were sad to see we didn't take very many pictures. Then again, we are now adjusting to 2 kids...one for each parent...which didn't give much time to take pictures.
Most of the Uncle Cory and Aunt Tina Jones family.
Uncle Mike and Aunt Javonna Jones.
Tavin with his cousins Madison and Alexis (who could pass as his sisters) and his second cousin Olivia. Tavin did have a really cute turquoise tie his aunt Lindsay got him, but he broke it 2 minutes after we put it on him at the temple.
A glimpse of the reception and their beautiful cake.
It was a great and fast weekend. (Sorry to all of our friends and family whom we didn't get the chance to see. We didn't even get over to visit Andee's grave.) Thankfully our flight home on Sun. morning went as scheduled!

beautiful wedding!! Price is where my dad is from....crazy small place isnt it??
Crazy!!! The wedding looked beautiful! (I think babies are so easy to travel with when they are so little... I took both my boys on their first flights 3 weeks after they were born.)
THat is so awful. Were you able to wear the dress? You are really getting into the swing of things with two kids, huh?
Oh My! I'm so glad the kids were good for you while waiting the storm out on the plane. I know Derek would have been the child the flight attendents would want to kill! And were you still able to wear your bridesmaid dress??
Hey The Brett Jones Family
The reception was just perfect.
cute pics, and we hear ya on the visiting thing... we are always saying sorry... life is so crazy!
glad you had fun, and you have such a good attitude about the flight stuff... yuck!
