Kirra Rae finally made her arrival on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:11am. She weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 inch. long. I went in at 1:30am to be induced, got an epideral at 6:30am, my water broke at 9:30am, and then she came quick! As soon as my water broke, her heart went into distress, and suddenly 5 nurses appeared. They were about to put water back in around her because they thought she was kind of in shock, but to the nurses surprise, she was just ready to come! I went from 5cm dialated to 10cm dialated in a matter of minutes. My doctor rushed over and Kirra was born.
We are loving every minute of our new addition. Tavin loves to give her kisses, but mostly loves to ignore her. Brett is the best dad and husband and is trying to give all 3 members of his little family all the attention and time he can. Papa, Uncle Jeff, and esp. Nana have been a world of help in adjusting. We honestly couldn't be happier!!!

CONGRATULATIONS. I am so glad to hear that all went perfectly! You are beautiful. Can you believe you have 2 kids! Wow. Can't wait to see more pictures and good luck getting adjusted to being a mother of 2! Glad you have your family nearby to help. So lucky!

She is beautiful! How nice that it came so quick. Besides the brief moment of distress it seemed to be perfect.
She is seriously so cute. Do you guys think she looks like Tavin? I can see similarities, but I think she looks different than he did as a baby. But I have hardly seen many pictures of him. She looks a lot like Brett.
I'm sure not having a place of your own can be a trial sometimes...this is not one of those times. What a blessing to have so much family to help around the clock.
You all look great. I hope you adjust well. Nothing is sweeter than watching your kids interact. (Unless their fighting...just wait.)

Congratulations!! I have been meaning to call but I know you are still in the adjusting no sleep phase so I thought I would wait a little while. I will be there in about two weeks and would love to come and see you. I will give you a call. She is so darling. You two definitely have good genes. I have sure your mom is just loving you guys being there.
