After Matt and Cindel's wedding we drove down to Sarasota, Florida where Brett's mom, her husband, and his 2 brothers live. We stayed the week to vacation and be there for Chase's high school graduation. We stayed at a beautiful condo right on the beach with Brett's dad, his wife, and Grandma French.
We spent a ton of time at the beach and really enjoyed the warmer water (It's lots warmer than Cali beaches), but I could definitely do without the humidity!!! Tavin and I also got to meet Mammaw and Pappaw for the first time. They are WONDERFUL and I was so grateful that after six years I was finally able to give them a big hug. As grandparents usually do, they spoiled Tavin with a cute Mickey Mouse stuffed animal that he became very attached to.
It was such a nice week to be with all of our family! It was sad to go home! Tavin did awesome on the flights to Florida, but was a WRECK on the way home. Our 4 1/2 hour flight to Vegas was the longest 4 1/2 hours of my life. He cried the ENTIRE time. I even went and stood in the tiny airplane bathroom for a 1/2 hour trying to rock him to sleep only to have him wake up 20 minutes later. He loves the airport...pushing around his own stroller and watching the airplanes is his favorite. Just don't ask him to get on one!

Ohh. Sorry about the flight home. That's no fun... but the rest of the trip sounded great! Those Florida waters are SO warm!
That flight sounds miserable. I have flown a TON with my kids and never had them cry for a whole flight. There have been moments for sure...and I think they're never going to end. IT's awful. 4 1/2 hours would be unbearable. Sorry about that.
I didn't know you were going to Florida. I've never been. How nice to spend time with family.
Looks like you had a nice trip. Sorry to hear about the miserable flight home! It does make me glad to know that I am not the only one who has dealt with that on a plane! Hannah is usually pretty good but we have had our moments for sure! Last Sept. we flew to Chicago and we were stuck in a holding pattern before landing due to bad weather. Hannah had done really well, until that point, and it was screaming and crying until we got off the plane! Traveling with kids is such fun!
Tavin is so cute! I can't believe how big he is! Sounds like a great trip! I love weddings! They need to come visit you next time! Flying with kids is always something! Hope you are feeling well...getting closer!

Melissa,Brett,Tavin, my two weeks in FL was the best of my entire life being with all you grandchildren and great grandson. It was the best finally meeting you and getting to see little handsome Tavin. And of course his Dad and you. You are as beautiful as I knew you were from your pictures. Sorry about Tavin's unfortunate flight home, and you too. We had a rough time since I gave Pappaw my cold and he was miserable on the plane, otherwise uneventful and pleasant ride. Short though 1 hr 45 min. compared to you 4 1/2 hrs. Next time come home with us. hee hee. Wasn't the wedding beautiful and fun. Cindel and Matt are a very beautiful couple and seemed extremely enchanted with each other. So happy to have so many wonderful grandsons-and granddaughters-in law in my already lovely family. So nice being with all the Jones family, too. I loved every minute of it. As I said, best two weeks of my life so far.
