I love the Twilight series. I am not much of a reader (and I'm working on that), but I had a TON of people telling me I had to read these books, esp. my aunt Becky and my sister Christi. Somehow I managed to never hear what they were about... I don't know how interested I would have been if someone would have told me. Well, let's just say I didn't get much sleep in the 4 days I read all three of the books. Tavin was like 9 months old and for those 4 days he was in one hand and a book was in the other. Sometimes I laugh when I think how obsessed I became over a book about vampires. They are sooooo good!
Well, Christi got a bunch of her friends and I tickets to go to Stephenie Meyers book signing last night for her new series, The Host. I do love the books, but don't care too much about getting her signature and what not. I decided to join in the fun of a girls trip though and experience my first book signing. We had a blast! It was down in San Diego. This is how our night went:
We went down and ate some dinner at Boudins.
Stephenie arrived and answered questions about her books and movie. She was so captivating! I could have listened to her for hours. Unfortunately she only talked about 25 minutes. She had a TON of books to sign!
She signed our copies of The Host. I was 360 out of 1000 to get my book signed. We only waited about an hour and a half.
Then we went to BJ's for dessert. No Pizookie for me-instead I tried the Apple Crisp which was to die for!
All in all it was a great night thanks to my good hubby, my wonderful sis, and fun friends! I can't wait to read The Host during our vacation to Florida next week!

You pull off pregnancy very well. You look adorable. I love the hair...I've never seen you with hair that short. So cute.
I don't read for fun, either. Ever. But I've heard so many people talk about how they can't put these books down...even people who don't like to read. I've heard what they're about and it doesn't sound appealing at all. But one of my 101 goals is to read something for fun. Maybe I'll just have to give them a try.
Totally loved the Twilight books... you'll have to tell me if you like The Host. So I have to ask: do you like Edward or Jacob better?
Katie's right... you pull of pregnancy very well.
Hi Melissa-
Yes, very cute hair! The girls night out looks like fun! I desperately need a girls night! I've never heard of those books. I am actually an avid reader. I love it, but unfortunately, I can't seem to focus on a book during pregnancy... it's like I now have ADD!
