July 3, 2013

9am:  Worst day at the Dr. ever!!! Kirra puked all over the waiting room... Parents quickly moved away to the farthest corners of the waiting room while I used every wipe I had to clean up.
11:15am:  Finally brought back and I had to take her to the bathroom to pee in a cup. We got in there and she lost it again. Didn't quite make it all the way in the toilet either. Luckily Tav is being the best big brother ever and taking care of Shad over in the room. Peeing in a cup was quite the experience too! I had to yell STOP! STOP PEEING! I think that was the fullest urin sample ever.
11:50am:  No we are in the waiting room again... Standing in the corner because every seat is taken. PLEASE DON'T THROW UP AGAIN!!!!
I am going to puke... The smell of throw up on her and me is more than I can take!
12:30pm:  Still in the waiting room. Kirra is asleep and snoring on my lap and Shad is losing it.
Kirra started with a fever sun night, runny nose, and a sore throat. Her fever goes away with medicine and last night a cough started. Today she was crying all morning saying she needed to go to the dr and that her tummy was hurting.
1pm:  Still at the dr. He is pretty concerned. Doing more blood work, giving her a breathing treatment, and a shot. He thinks it's pneumonia. Brett's truck is getting some work done so an employee was bringing him to the dr to take the boys and the van. We are all starving and going on 4 hours now. Brett wasn't thinking and was dropped off at the family dr instead of here at the pediatricians.
2:30pm:  We are all home now. Brett had his employee come back and get him. :b We won't get the results for pneumonia until tmrw. He let us go home, but if she gets any worse this afternoon or tonight we have to go to the hospital.
She has breathing treatments and then he gave her the shot (so she couldn't barf up oral medication). We go back friday and he'll give her oral antibiotics then. She is doing good right now, but dr says that is thanks to the shot and breathing treatment and will wear off. I know she'll be fine. If it is pneumonia it is highly contagious.
The boys have bad allergies and asthma. Kirra doesn't, but I should have her taking a daily allergy pill. She is my child that doesn't get as sick as the rest! My last pediatrician totally believed half of the illnesses down here are due to viruses brought up from Mexico. There were many times she wanted to hospitalize Tav and Shad, when he was a newborn, but didn't because she thought they'd catch more or get worse in the hospital.
