Feb 16, 2013

Tonight was our Stake Conference. During the meeting, Brett got a call from work and was in the hall for the rest of the time. During the stake presidents talk he came back in and put his hand on my shoulder and said, "We have to leave RIGHT NOW!" I got up and ran out after him. He was jogging down the hall and I asked what was the matter. He said our babysitter had called 911 and she was panicking because Tavin had cut his head open.
I told brett I was going to go grab her parents and I'd meet him in the parking lot. Of course her dad is our bishop and they were sitting in the 4th pew in the middle. I went back in the chapel and tried to wave her parents out. Well, the pew was full of all our friends and almost the whole pew got up and came running out.
I told Bishop that his daughter had called and I asked if he could come with us in case we had to take Tavin to the hospital. The Stake Center is about 25 min from our house.  I think we got home in about 15 minutes.
When we got home there was a fire truck and an ambulance in our front yard.  Tavin was in the ambulance and the babysitter was cuddling Shad and Kirra in the driveway. When they saw us they all started crying. Tav is totally fine though.  Just needs some stitches on the back of his head.
He was RIDING SHAD'S TRICYCLE ON OUR TREADMILL and fell off and hit the sharp corner of the tv stand. Seriously!?!?
Just as brett was about to leave for the hospital, a good friend of ours showed up, who is an eye surgeon, and offered to take Tav to his office to stitch him up.
