Shadders is 1

I'm really not sure where the year has gone. My baby is getting big way too fast! It all seems like a blur. We are just now adjusting to life with 3. Let's just say we have a new "normal."

Since I've been a horrible blogger this year, here are a few highlights about our most chill baby ever:

Shad LOVES Tavin. He gets excited to see him every time he wakes up and laughs whenever Tav laughs.


Shad loves Kirra too. He just wishes she'd share her toys more.




He decided at 8 1/2 months he was done nursing after I flicked his mouth for biting me. He looked at me as if I broke his heart and cried with that same look every time I ever tried to nurse him again. Believe me, I tried and tried, and he even starved for 2 whole days because I was not ready to be done nursing (I pumped for 2 months to keep trying). I flicked T and K when they bit, but Shad is a tender heart. He never would take a bottle so at 8 1/2 months he was drinking from a sippie cup with a straw. He downs his milk in 2 seconds flat and when I swapped out for whole milk he didn't even blink.

Eating rice cereal for the first time.


First time at Disneyland.



He's OBSESSED with his Aden + Anais blankets!!!


He pretty much never cries and is always wearing this grin.




He joined the family craze for Star Wars this Halloween.




Shad spends a lot of his day like this because he likes to get into EVERYTHING. Tavin is a great big brother and is always willing to help remove Shadders from places he shouldn't be.
He throws up a lot because he puts everything in his mouth and gags, esp. carpet pieces.


Already lost his first tooth. He slipped in the bathtub the day before we were leaving to NM for Christmas. We had to visit a dentist in NM and have it pulled.





He looks just like Tavin did at this age. Who's who?



I know this picture is blurry, but it shows his excitement. He loves riding the rocking horse and climbing the little slide.


Loves to dance and likes to play the wii.


LOVED his first smore.


Still OBSESSED!


Loves waving, giving mom kisses and the best hugs, bruising his face (falling into the bathtub, falling out of the bathtub, falling into table legs, etc), unrolling toliet paper, and LOVES making this face.



First word was Daddy (2nd was Mommy). He crawls straight for the door the minute he hears the garage opening and his daddy coming home. Daddy is numero uno in his book!


Turned one on 2/7.

Celebrated with friends at Bj's. (Tav and Kirra told us that's where Shad wanted to go for dinner.)


Already picks up my cell phone, swipes his finger, and holds it to his ear with a "Huuh!" (aka: Hello)

He's taking steps, but ONLY when HE wants to!

We know Heavenly Father blessed us greatly when he sent us Shad!
