I wake again at 6am as Tavin climbs into our bed. I hand him my phone so he can play games. We try to sleep a bit more.
Never really falling back to sleep I finally get out of bed to jump in the shower at 8:30am.
Kirra wanders into our room around this time (WAY later than usual for her). I sit her on our pillows. She plays games on my phone while I shower.
Brett tells me to hurry. He has to be to work no later than 9am. He just talked to his staff yesterday about being on time.
I totally forgot my van is in the shop so I have to take him to work. Only 15 minutes away.
Shad has a dr. appt. at 10am. The dr. is 30 minutes away.
Shad slept through the night. WOW! First time. Too bad I didn't. Shad is still asleep in his swing (aka: bed).
I'm getting dressed and I notice my pillows are wet. I ask Kirra why they are wet. She tucks her head down and I walk over and feel her panties.
She peed her bed a second time. This time there is no mattress protector on her bed.
Kirra showers with Brett and I start another load of wash.
Brett calls his work and tells them he will be late.
Shad is awake and STARVING! I am RELIEVED he is ready to nurse.
Brett "Spot Shots" Kirra's bed and turns on the fan hoping it will be dry by nap time.
Tavin and Kirra are at the table having a yogurt and banana.
I yell for Brett. I need his help! Shad spit up at least 8 oz of milk... all over me, the boppy, himself, the sheets, the pillows, the bed skirt, the nightstand, and the floor.
I jump in the shower, again, and Brett gives Shad a bath.
Brett begs me to hurry. Someone is coming in at 9:40am to interview for the position to be his new Director of Nursing.
At 9:35am we all pile into Brett's car. We don't really fit, but we make it work.
I have pieces of Shad's car seat in my hand. I had to wash it all last night due to his poop explosion.
Brett and I eat our yogurts. Shad is screaming. He is still hungry.
We drop Brett off at 9:48am and we get to the dr. at 10:08am.
I nurse Shad in the waiting room.
Kirra can't stop sneezing. She is sick. Again? Seriously?
Shad spits up all over my shirt and shorts. I give myself a wipey bath.
Tavin tells me he needs a band-aid. I look to see why. His ankle is completely swollen and bubbled with a pussy bug bite. I sign him in to be seen by the dr. too.
An hour and a half and a couple shots later, we make the drive home.
Peanut butter and honey for lunch.
Shad sleeps in his car seat.
I load Tav up with Benadryl and tuck him into bed. Kirra's bed is still wet. I lay her down in mine... on Brett's non spit-up, urin free pillow side.
I change the laundry then sit down to blog. My mom and friends asked me to update.
HALLELUJAH for naps!
Oh, wait! Tavin needs to go #2.
Oh, Kirra does too.
Peace and quiet.
OHHHHH, Shad is crying.
Maybe I'll have time to blog about all these events and some in between another day. MAYBE!
I seriously LOVE my life! I cannot stop laughing these days!

Long time ago in ABQ on Mother's Day, one of the talks given was a list just like that...one of the best talks ever on moms and all they deal with all day long. Thanks for always smiling through the messes! Love ya bunches!!
love your pics and love your attitude. it can always be worse right? miss you guys! you have beautiful kids!
I'm exhausted just from reading about your day! I'm glad you posted. And what a cute baby shower your threw! I bet your friend was embarrassed today when the thank-you card she wrote you came back. Apparently, the USP service likes you to include a house number and along with the street! Who would have guessed!?!
What a day!!! I would have lost it! You are amazing!
I'm laughing and crying all at the same time. I am so glad you documented this. Someday we will miss these days...(at least that's what people keep telling me!) I love you guys--those kids and Brett are so lucky to have such a loving, completely devoted, and willing to sacrifice it all--mom! Now go get some sleep.
Ain't Life Grand???
I remember making a list like this one day years ago. I was wondering why I was always so tired. After I read my list, I knew why.
Hang in there and keep laughing.
I think the age gap between those three is similar to my three...there is three years between my oldest and youngest with one in the middle. I feel so busy now, but that was a nice reminder that I was busier then. UGH! That is so exhausting. But at least Shad is sleeping through the night. It only gets easier from here. (With a few really hard days mixed in.) Though, unlike Carly, I don't think I'll ever miss those days. It's amazing what moms can endure. You're doing a good job.
I loved the update and especially all the pictures of the kids. So sweet!
Your family is adorable!!! You're a super mom lol :)
aaaahhhaaahhaaahaaaa, I can totally relate. Your family is just too cute! You're doing great little momma!
