Tavin, the pirate, was in the semi-finals, but just couldn't compete with his sister.
The month of October looked a little like this:
Daddy came home with one pumpkin so we made it work.
We made styrofoam spiders.
We made scary ghosts.
We went to the library costume contest.
We went to the Halloween/How to Train Your Dragon party in our neighborhood community.
Kirra and her BFF, Lucy
We read lots of Halloween books and danced our hearts out to Halloween music.
We topped it all off with our ward Trunk or Treat.
Tavin told me today that he is sad Halloween is over!

Melissa! Thanks for commenting on my blog. It was good to hear from you. It looks like you guys are having a lot of fun in Texas and Florida. When will you be back in CA? Are you heading home for the holidays? Tavin and Kirra have grown up so fast. Kira looks like you and Rachel when you guys were her age! Crazy. No wonder she won Best in Show :) And congrats on the baby boy on the way. 2 boys 2 girls! How did you work that? Love you!
What cute outfits!! Kirra really does look like a mini-Alice in Wonderland. I think Tavin needs a pirate ship bed just for the outfit. Love the potato head pumpkin!!
