The other day as I turned the water off from my shower, I paused, like I always do, to listen for my kids.
90% of the time I hear screaming or crying from one or both because I'm not around to play referee.
This day, there was nothing. Not a sound.
I tiptoed out to see what was going on.
Tavin was playing on the couch with his toys.
I tiptoed to Kirra's room. She wasn't there.
I tiptoed to Tavin's room. Not there either.
As I turned away from his room, I saw her, in the bathroom.
Her back was to me.
She held a few stackable cups they had played with in the bathtub the night before and was drinking from them.
Where did she get the water?
I tiptoed in closer.
The floor was soaked.
She was soaked.
Then I saw her dip a cup in to the toliet and bring it to her mouth.
I screamed.
I ran over to stop her.
Why was the toliet seat up? Tavin knows he's always supposed to close the lid!
I looked closer.
Not only was she drinking toliet water, she was drinking unflushed urinated toliet water.
I'm gagging now, yelling at Tavin, stripping Kirra's clothes off, turning on the bath, forcing my daughter to drink from her REAL water cup.
Why are kids so fascinated with toliets?
More importantly, why did she go back for 2nds? Or was it 3rds, or 4ths, or 5ths?
Atleast #2 wasn't part of this horrific event!

Ah the joys of motherhood.
I love it! Knowing my boys, they would've brought it to me and tried to get ME to drink it, they just love to share!

That is awful!! I would be gagging. I love that it did not even phase her. I guess she got her protein for the day. :)

omg, yuck! i would gag too! and then i would yell at derek for leaving the bathroom door open, lol.
