We loaded up and drove 2 hours to South Padre Island. It was a beautiful day and we could feel the warmth of the sun inside our car, but when we got out...it was a whole other story. We got to the beach and lasted about .2 seconds. We took a few pictures, didn't even walk all the way out, and then ran straight back to the car and pumped the heat up to full blast. IT WAS SOOOO COLD! We loaded up and drove 2 hours home.
I'll be interested to see what the beach looks like during the summer. I'm hoping the brown water was just due to the crazy weather we've been having. The sand was a beautiful white though. I'm excited for warmer days!

So fun that you are still somewhat near a beach... too bad it was too cold to enjoy!
haha thats classic.... seriously it was so cold here too! hopefully its warming up there now...
At least the cold doesn't last for months on end!! Back to capris here...and it's still January! Love you guys!
The beach is very nice in the summer and a great escape from the heat! You'll love it!
a 4 hour round trip and not even 5 minutres there... ahhhh. im sorry!
