The kids did REALLY well even though they were in their carseats 13 hours there and 13 hours back. Our dollar bag of tricks helped a ton!
Boy did we surprise Grandpa!!! We walked into the store (Great Grandma owns a Navajo Trading Post and Grandpa runs it.) and the look on his face was shock and confusion! It was so much fun!
We have never been there without all of Brett's siblings being there too. Usually we are visiting with Grandma and Grandpa; Brett's brothers and sisters; and Brett's aunts, uncles, cousins, and Grandma. This weekend it was just my little family and Grandma and Grandpa. It was so quiet and we really missed all the rest of our family, but it was nice to have some one on one time with the Jones Grandparents.
Tavin LOVED feeding the cows, chickens, and peacocks. He liked to collect the chicken's eggs and then chase them. That's all he wanted to do every day! Kirra loved to copy the roster's cock-a-doodle-doodling.
(Don't mind Kirra's tender red nose...she has a cold.)

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for all the delicious meals, Bejewled 2 and Ticket to Ride games, delicious desserts, Kirra's super cute outfit, tasty Chili's, and spoiling my kids rotten with love and attention.

Melissa!!! It's so good to see you in the blog world! Three kids!? Wow--time sure has flown since we were neighbors in P town! I'm excited to keep up with your cute family!! (Kelly and Dustin)
Looks like you guys had fun! Driving long distances with kids isn't always the greatest, but they did good! Your Kirra is a cutie!
13 hours!! WOA!! That's great that you guys did that. We are flying to Boise on Thursday to visit family. Thought about driving (it's 12 hrs without stops) for like two seconds! Maybe next year.
I bet they really appreciated your visit.
haha Brian and I love the video of the balloons... so cute!!! Kirra has seriously changed so much just in the 3 months since we saw her last! can't wait... 6 more days!
You guys are so brave to take road trips especially after your last one. 5 hours is about the longest we can do. I am glad that you guys had such a great time. There is nothing better than seeing your kids with their grandparents. What a fun trip.
Road trips rock.
