The poor kid has a birthday 3 days after Christmas. We decided we are always going to make the best of it... using birthday wrapping paper (never Christmas), separating presents (no Happy Birthday/Merry Christmas presents), maybe celebrating with friends at his "half birthday" in June, etc.
He woke to birthday pancakes shaped as none other than Mickey Mouse. Brett's family always had bday pancakes and my grandma used to always make pancake characters, so he got the best of both sides.
After church my sister, her hubby, and kiddos came over for birthday pizza. Then 3 of Tavin's closest buddies (and their parents) came over to have cake and ice cream and open presents with us.
He goes to bed every night with the Lightning McQueen off of his cake.
They all wanted to blow out the candles over and over and over again. For days after Tavin asked to blow out birthday candles. Spoilers of Tavin, Nana and Papa, always obliged. I heard him wish many toys and stuffed animals a "Happy Birthday" all week long. I'm pretty sure he had a GREAT birthday.
Thanks so much to all the fam who called and sang a great birthday song for him, sent/gave super cute gifts (Rach/Brian, Jeanette/Tom, Joel/Nancy, Mom/Dad, Jeff, Kim/AJ), and the amazing great grandparents who sent adorable cards. I am so thankful for the love you have for my son who means the WORLD to me! THANK YOU!

second birthdays have always been fun. It's the first one they really get into. Happy Birthday Tavin!
I can't believe he's two already! Glad he had a good birthday! And I love that he wanted to blow out candles so much!
Wow...time flies. Congratulations. And Melissa, thank you for that sweet entry you made on Jordan's blog. We love you so much.
