"Hi Papa."
"Hey buddy."
"Hi Papa."
"Hey buddy."
"Hi Papa."
"Hey buddy."
He could go on and on. He especially likes to tell you "hi" if he's doing something he knows he shouldn't be or if he's in trouble. So I've started responding to his hello's by saying, "Hi Trouble."
He thinks it's pretty funny.
The other day I went to get him from his nap and when I opened the door and found this...he said, "Hi trouble." Oh ya, he totally knew what he'd done. I am pretty sure he's become "Trouble" as a way to get my attention. He doesn't mind Kirra as much lately. Well, atleast he's not mean to her anymore, but he still doesn't like that my time is split between them. To win some of her time, he does everything naughty he can think of. He loves to rock her swing as HARD as he can - while she's in it. He likes to color on Nana and Papa's walls. He likes to take off his poopy diapers. He likes to throw phones, cell phones, tv remotes, etc. You get the idea.
I've found a couple of ways to give myself a few moments of peace, other than nap time, for things like...showering for the day.
I can put him up on my bed with his basket of books. It keeps him entertained for a while and it's great because he can't quite get off my bed by himself. Well, it's great until he starts throwing his books.
He loves our daily walks and so do I because this is usually the result. If you can't tell, he's asleep. He's so stubborn. He refuses to lay back, even though the seat is not at all reclined.
I will admit, there still is some good in my little guy. ; ) Not only do I call him "Trouble," I also call him my "Big Helper." He loves that name too. He gets so excited when I give him little tasks like getting me a diaper for Kirra or throwing something in the trash. It's hilarious because most of the time it ends up being more work by the time I've pointed where the diapers are 15 times and he still can't find them. Then when he finally does see them, he brings me his, and tries again, but brings the wipes, and tries again, but brings the bumb cream. So then I just get it myself. He is my "Big Helper" though.
It's moments like this that make my "Trouble" not so much trouble.

Toddler trouble is exhausting, but always entertaining. It gets worse before it gets better. But the good news is it DOES get better.
Hmmmm.....some days I would opt for toddler trouble over teenage trouble, however, I do NOT miss the diapers!
Oh too cute! And I totally hear you on the "helper" thing. I point right at something for William to get and he looks right past it... and never sees it! Drives me nuts.
That is so sweet! Bonnie definitely has more bad days than good ones, but sometimes she is so sweet to Lyla that it makes me think I may one another one!
Just kidding, I do want another one!
